A: Wait at least an hour, up to 12 hours is OK. Be sure to aerate the brine shrimp.
Q: What is the most effective way to feed Selcon®?
A: Try freeze dried brine shrimp or mysis shrimp. Let shrimp soak in Selcon® 20-30 minutes and feed. Freeze dried shrimp are approximately 45 to 65% protein and hold 9 times their weight in Selcon®. When the shrimp are released into the aquarium most if not all of the Selcon® stays within the carapace of the freeze dried shrimp therefore giving the highest dose of Selcon®. Freeze dried Selcon® infused brine or mysis shrimp can be frozen to be used later.
Q: Does Selcon® lose its potency when frozen?
A: No it does not. Selcon® retains its potency when defrosted.
